"The Piggery"

                                                                6x6 acrylic  SOLD

Finally a successful day for outdoor painting! This charming little building was begging to be painted. What a challenge though! One minute the sun was shining the next dark clouds cast shadows. The wind whipped up and sent this panel flying several times and I even persevered through a rain shower. I'm pleased with the results and can only hope our next outdoor session has a more consistent clime in which to work.

I love the story and I love this painting.
Where do you live? Here in Santa Monica California, its nice, sunny and cool.
Come and paint here.

Well it was worthwhile, all the joys of plein aire painting. Super little painting, probably with some real grass mixed with the paint for good luck!

Thanks for the compliments! I live in Canada, and, as much as I would love to experience Santa Monica California, I will have to be content with painting in the beautiful outdoors here. (weather permitting!) Thanks for the invite Irit. :)
