Girl in grey stripes

This past wknd I attended an art workshop arranged through the Manotick Art Association. I experienced an amazing time of learning and creating under the instruction of Canadian artist Brian Smith. You can visit his work at www.drawn2life.com
It was wonderful to build on past learning and to blow the dust off my drawing skills. This painting is the end result of a weekend spent focusing on portrait and figure drawing & painting.

The Retiring Ones SOLD

These Rudbeckia have passed their prime but right now they have this lovely color as they curl up and retire for the winter.

The Fungi's - sold

These fellows have been appearing in my lawn and garden this week. I've found them delightfully magical looking. They are the reason I dug out my watercolors.

A Blue Bowl of Eggs - SOLD

I've blown the dust off my watercolors and started to play with paints this week! It has been years since I have messed about with watercolors. I've been inspired by other artists blogspots and by ACEO's (art cards editions & originals) which are artist's trading cards.
