"Heartland"

                                                     6 x 10 acrylic on canvas  SOLD

My submission for the current Different Strokes from Different Strokes challenge. We were to invent the color for this challenge as the original photo was desaturated. I live in the heart of farmland and this view is pretty familiar. It was fun to create the colors - an excellent exercise. I did some tweaking of the buildings so they wouldn't be smack dab in the center of the painting.

Glenda! this is terrific! I love the colours and I really like how you rearranged the silos and barns. Awesome! But that's just who you are. Thanks for the comment on my watercolour. It was really kind of you and gave me a much needed smile today.

Glenda, you did a marvelous job on this! I struggled with how to incorporate that bright white roof when I did my rendition. Finally, I muted it, but you included it effortlessly in your composition. Well done!

Glenda, you have such a beautiful palette. Love how you handle the greens, blues, purples. This painting has a nice crisp feel, and I agree with Dana that the patchwork fields add so much.
