Driving Home - SOLD
5x7 acrylic on canvas
As the sun sets the sky blazes with color and the mountains just glow. This is what I have tried to capture in this winter scene

Whispering Trees - SOLD
8x10 Mixed Media SOLD
I've been painting trees a lot. Perhaps it is the fact that I am physically surrounded by trees. I love watching how they move and change through weather and seasons. I am particularly moved by the sound they make.

I've been having fun playing around with textures, mixed media, and a more imaginative style.

Dragonfly Moon SOLD
I'm still here and I'm still creating! The past months have been consumed with a move, visits with family, and a trip out. This is a small abstract I've been waiting to upload for some time. I've been experimenting with gel medium and modeling paste and enjoying the results. This work is quite textural and shimmery with copper and iridescent touches. Available at Arts Underground, YT.

Salmon Circles
I'm enjoying creating these small printed works. Each background is hand colored with inks and home made stencils or stamps, before being stamped over top with the black images. These are cards that measure 5.5 x 5.5 inches. No two are alike.

Morning Glory at Tutshi - SOLD
12x12 Acrylic SOLD
A painting of an amazing sunrise near where I live. The days are long and sunny now. I have to get up really early to catch the sun rising over the mountains - but it is so worth it! I swear the colors are more magnificent living in the north.

March - Catching Rays - SOLD
8x8 Acrylic SOLD
This time of year the days are brilliant with sunshine, starting from sunrise to sunset. I happened on this parked and out-of-commission service truck that just radiated early morning sunshine. It begged me to paint it out. It's not normally a subject I would go looking for but I am starting to pay attention the artistic "call". If I see a poignant subject, be it person, place or thing, I'll paint it.

A Tidy Little Ship
8x10 SOLD
This was painted at the request of a friend. I've been enjoying messing about with water in these latest paintings. There is a definite learning curve going on.

Boats for Sale
8x8 Acrylic SOLD
This scene is from the UK. The picturesqueness of the place caught my eye initially, but that wobbly yellow line really drew me to paint the picture. I think this could be sub-titled "Legacy of the Drunken Sailor".

Safely Grazing
6x6 SOLD
I've had this image in my mind for such a long time. During my trips to the UK, I encountered countless sheep. In this particular instance there was a golf course near to hand, tourists roaming the land, and pictures being captured - and these sheep were unconcerned, steadily grazing. For me an image of trust and security.

Bosky View SOLD
6x6 SOLD
I haven't posted in such a long time. It is not for lack of creating. I have several projects on the go...printmaking, painting, and playing with mixed media. This is my first finished mixed media work. It is quite textural in real life; an appropriate statement on my emerging creativity after such a huge year of events.
